Waukesha County

Waukesha County Park System offers rustic camping April through the first weekend of November. Online reservations are available starting January 1 for each camping season.

Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and a fire ring with grill. There are no hook ups for electricity or water and no dumping station available. Firewood sales by Park Rangers are not available from April 1 – mid-May and mid-September – November 3, 2019. Please contact park staff between 7:00 am - 3:30 pm to arrange for firewood during those periods.

Four of our park locations offer both Family and Group style camping:

  • Menomonee Park

    Menomonee Park is located in the Villages of Lannon and Menomonee Falls. The park offers countless recreational opportunities. It features 470 acres of rolling fields and shrublands, high quality maple woods, wetlands, and a 16-acre quarry pond with a large beach. There are 30 Family Camp sites and 7 Group Camp sites.

  • Mukwonago Park

    Mukwonago Park is a 355-acre site that includes a high ridge formed during the last glacial period, which stretches nearly the length of the park. Park visitors of all ages will be delighted to discover the park's commanding view of the rolling terrain and farmlands typical of southeastern Wisconsin. There are 30 Family Camp sites and 6 Group Camp sites.

  • Muskego Park

    Muskego Park is a 193-acre parcel that was purchased in 1958 as the County's first regional park. Many trails wind through Muskego Park Hardwoods, offering tranquil atmosphere and home to abundant wildlife. There are 24 Family Camp sites and 2 Group Camp sites.

  • Naga-Waukee Park

    Naga-Waukee Park spans 206 acres and offers a spectacular view of Nagawicka Lake as you meander down the boardwalk to the boat launch and beach. The oak hickory forest and thick undergrowth define the trails that wind throughout the park, which is home to many different species of wildlife. There are 25 Family Camp sites and 5 Group Camp sites.

Family Camp

Site fee includes up to 2 camping units maximum.

  • Reserve your site in advance online
  • Twenty foot maximum vehicle/camper length on designated sites only
  • Each site has space for one vehicle; additional vehicles must park in parking lot

Group Camp

Site fee includes up to 3 camping units.
Site Fee  $36.00 / night
Each Additional Unit       $12.00 / night
Firewood $7.00 / bundle

While you will be able to search campsite availability without an account, you must have an account to book your reservation.

  3. Click the site of choice to add to your cart (Tips: Green circles and squares are available, while red circles and squares are reserved. Hover over the green sites to view amenities.)
  4. Checkout and make payment (NoteYour reservation is not complete until payment is made.)
  5. Confirmation e-mail and receipt will be sent within 30 minutes - if you do not receive a confirmation within 30 minutes, please call 262-548-7801 to confirm your reservation

Camping Rules:

  • Park entrance fees apply
  • Campers must be 18 years of age or with a parent/legal guardian
  • Quiet time 11:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.
  • Seven night camping limit; check out 3:00 p.m.
  • All firewood must be purchased at the park; no carry-ins
  • Parking on pavement or gravel only
  • Dogs are welcome, but must remain leashed

These rules are in addition to all Park Rules

Camping Cancellation Policy:

  • Camping reservations cancelled fewer than 14 days in advance will not receive a refund; camping reservations cancelled more than 14 days in advance will receive a full refund.
  • No refunds are given due to unforeseen circumstances or weather conditions, unless the park or facilities are officially closed.
