Waukesha County operates 2 permanent household hazardous waste (HHW) drop-off sites for county residents and 4 special one-day collections in spring and fall in Brookfield, Delafield, Mukwonago and Oconomowoc. All sites are free to Waukesha County residents - proof of residency is required.

Product Exchange Program: Cleaning, automotive, and garden products can be donated by residents to the Product Exchange Program for other residents to take home and repurpose. This free program is available at all of the county's permanent HHW. Quantities and types of materials available vary, and participants will be required to sign a liability waiver and standard release form.
