Waukesha County Park System is an 8,500-acre, natural resources-based system. Some parks and lake access sites require a daily permit or annual membership for access. A portion of these fees helps us maintain parkland. Retzer Nature Center does not require an entrance fee.
Lake Access Memberships are valid from the date of purchase through December 31, 2023. Enjoy access to the following fee-based lake access sites: Nagawicka Lake, Pewaukee Lake, Nemahbin Lake, and School Section Lake. (No annual membership or daily permit is required for lake access at Ashippun Lake.) To purchase online, you will be asked to log in or sign up for an account.
Important: Have your license plate information ready. The Park System's Automatic License Plate Reader Systems requires user vehicle plate information upon purchase (all capital letters, no spaces, no hyphen).
Please note: There will be no windshield sticker mailed for memberships like in previous years. Annual memberships are verified by the license plate scanner upon entry.
