Educational Advocacy and Collaboration

Adolescent and Family social workers provide support, collaboration and advocacy for youth and families within the school setting. Social workers work closely with school staff which might include: monitoring attendance, attending Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings, visiting the student in school, and empowering parents to advocate for the youth's academic success.
