In the summer of 2020, in the midst of a pandemic, Waukesha County Health & Human Services social workers found a unique way to support 45 children and youth who they serve. By using art, they helped them express and manage their feelings regarding COVID-19 and the civil struggles in our local community and the nation.
Many of the young artists chose to have their creations included in a virtual art show. The Art Show has been uploaded onto the 'Waukesha County Web Videos' YouTube Channel.
Thank you to the young artists, as well as their family members who helped them, and the members of the HHS Equal Access Group and HHS Positive Youth Initiatives who helped in the collaboration. Sometimes it’s the little things that don’t cost a lot of money that make a positive difference in people’s lives.
