Lift the Next Generation
Calling All Airport Mentors
On behalf of the Youth in Aviation Task Force and the Wisconsin Aerospace Crew, we are reaching out to ask whether you would consider hosting our new Skybound Summit, a peer‑to‑peer student group created to help young people explore careers in aviation. Each gathering gives students a chance to share their personal stories, learn from one another, and gain insight from those who have lived and worked in the aviation community. Your experience at the Waukesha County Airport—and your connection to its culture—makes you an ideal partner to help inspire the next generation.
The group will meet quarterly, and we are seeking both volunteers and a welcoming space where students can gather comfortably. Your willingness to host even one session in June would make a meaningful difference in helping these students feel supported as they take their first steps toward an aviation career. We would be grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with you and continue building a strong, student‑centered aviation community in Waukesha County.
Thank you for your continued spirit of volunteerism and for the many ways you’ve supported our aviation community over the years.
To schedule our first Skybound Summit, please contact Abby Lorenz, Waukesha County Airport Commissioner, at 414-350-8713 or email AbbyLorenz@wi.rr.com. More info at wisaerospacecrew.com.
