Residents should not place used plastic growing pots, plant trays, and plant containers into their curbside recycling containers. They are invited to drop these landscaping items off at local garden centers for recycling.

On Tuesday, September 12, 2017 a new environmental education program kicks off for K—12 students in Waukesha County. The program is a collaboration between Waukesha County, the School District of Waukesha and Carroll University in order to create a regional environmental education model that meets state and national academic standards.

Residents and Businesses May Recycle Landscape Plastics at Johnson's Nursery, Inc

Residents and businesses are invited to drop off used plastic growing pots, plant trays, and plant containers free of charge at Johnson's Nursery Inc., W180 N6275 Marcy Road, Menomonee Falls for collection. Residents may drop off containers year-round during business hours. Those with bulk quantities, such as businesses, are required to pre-sort, palletize, and call ahead to schedule a drop-off. Visit the retail office upon arrival for direction to the drop off area.
