Waukesha County

Wisconsin's recycling law requires every citizen in Wisconsin to recycle materials that are banned from landfills.  This law also applies to businesses, institutions, and special events.

Fluorescent Light Recycling for Businesses

Businesses are required to properly dispose of expired fluorescent bulbs/lamps and ballasts. These bulbs contain mercury and are not allowed to be placed in the regular trash.

If your business does not have a contract arrangement for disposal, the following local companies accept fluorescent lighting for recycling.
