Waukesha County

Wisconsin's recycling law requires every citizen in Wisconsin to recycle materials that are banned from landfills.  This law also applies to businesses, institutions, and special events.

Business Brush & Landscape Debris

Yard and landscaping debris are banned from Wisconsin landfills. Most companies have arrangements with a local service that does their landscaping and provides disposal services.

Two local landfills have composting operations for a fee:

Emerald Park Landfill, GFL
414-529-1360
Muskego WI

Orchard Ridge Landfill, Waste Managment
262-253-8440
Menomonee Falls WI
