Waukesha County is requesting assistance and information as it pertains to current and future lands for parks, open spaces, trails and greenways from every community, in order to complete the update to the Park and Open Space section of the Waukesha County Comprehensive Plan.
For your convenience, there is a web viewer app showing the preliminary Park and Open Space Acquisition Plan for Waukesha County available for review and comment prior to finalizing the draft. Please share with appropriate municipal officials, committees, boards or commissions as necessary.
1. View Draft Map:
Access the interactive mapping site.
The app allows users to pan around, zoom in and out, make notes or comments, and indicate modifications to current and future park and open space lands. Please mark up areas within your communities to accurately reflect current and planned land ownership and status. If you are unable to access the app or use the on-line tools click on the following PDFs to print maps by township:

The above link is for an OneDrive folder to place any larger documents or files that pertain to your community’s Park and Open Space plan. Because files are sometimes too large for e-mail systems and some systems filter out attachments, we encourage you to upload your files here.
If you click on the link, a browser window should open to the folder. Simply drag the files from your organization onto the browser window and let it upload.
If you are not the keeper of the data or documents, please feel free to forward this link to the person in your organization that is.
If you have multiple files for your community, please zip your files all together in one .zip file if you can. The file name should have your specific Community’s name at the front, like “City_of_Jonesville_xxxxx.zip”. This will ensure we know where the data is coming from.
We are pleased to offer this draft plan for review, and look forward to receiving your information and feedback. Please direct questions and comments to Jason Wilke at the Waukesha County Department of Parks and Land Use, at (262) 548-7806.
