Reptile Conservation Programs 

There are 37 species of reptiles (snakes, turtles, and lizards) found in Wisconsin. Wow! Help our staff determine what species of reptiles call Waukesha County home by assisting us on snake cover board surveys and turtle hoop net trapping surveys throughout the summer. Join our trained staff to help collect data on turtles, snakes, and even lizards that call Waukesha County home!

• Turtle Surveys
No surveys are scheduled at this time. Please check back for potential dates / times!

What to wear: Dress for the weather and being outdoors! Surveys may occasionally wander off trail into natural areas and tall grass. Close-toed shoes and long pants are recommended.
What to bring: Water, sunscreen, bug spray, and a camera for taking pictures!
Cancellation or rescheduling plan: If the survey is cancelled, an email will be sent to the address that you registered from.
