Site Plan/Plan of Operation (SPPO) Review

SITE PLAN AND PLAN OF OPERATION:

Any person owning property in the Towns of Oconomowoc or Ottawa; or the shoreland/floodland areas (generally 1,000 feet of a lake or 300 feet of a stream) in the Towns of Brookfield, Delafield, Eagle, Genesee, Lisbon, Merton and Mukwonago may need to apply for, and receive, Site Plan and Plan of Operation approval, or amend an existing Site Plan and Plan of Operation prior to commencing the following types of projects or conducting the following uses or changes on their property. If you have a question as to whether or not your property is within the County's zoning jurisdiction, please contact us with your tax key number and we will assist you.

A Site Plan and Plan of Operation (Use Permit) may be required for the following types of projects, uses, or changes to the existing operation:

New construction of, additions to, or remodeling of commercial, industrial, public, private units; towers; quarries; churches; marinas; commercial boarding facilities; commercial and industrial uses; change in use; change in owner/operator; signage; lighting; parking; loading; landscaping and/or screening; outdoor uses/storage; special events; temporary uses; food/bar service; hours of operation; number of employees; etc.

It should be noted this list may not be an inclusive list. Please contact the Planning and Zoning Division if you have a question as to whether or not your project, use, or change requires Site Plan of Operation approval, and to find out which application form above is appropriate for your business operation.
