Payment & Refund Information

The Court views the obligation to pay fines, forfeitures, costs, surcharges, assessments, fees, restitution, and reimbursements seriously and expects payment in full on the day of imposition.

If a defendant fails to pay any court ordered financial obligation by date specified, a civil judgment shall be entered against the defendant for defaulted amount plus a $15.00 administrative fee. Said account shall be turned over to collections.When a civil judgment has been paid in full, it can be satisfied by paying a $5.00 Satisfaction Fee at the Circuit Courts Business Center.

Pay on-line with a Visa or Mastercard credit or electronic check when:

  • a deposit amount has been indicated on your traffic or ordinance citation, or
  • if you have an unpaid fine or forfeiture.

For Online payment on any case(s) with probation or extended supervision:

Payments MUST be made through the Department of Corrections, and NOT to CCAP or directly through the Clerk of Courts.

Enter your 6 digit DOC number.

It will come up with what is due. Court costs, restitution or Supervision fees.

If Restitution is due, that will be the default to any payments made.

If no Restitution is due, you can choose to make a payment on Court Costs or Supervision Fees.

The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department will take payments after hours:

  • Bail
  • Citations issued by the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department,for which the original court date has NOT passed, and if the party can present a copy of the ticket/citation.

Refunds

Bail is ordered and refunded according to state statute and judicial order. If bail is to be returned, the refund will be made:

  • after disposition of the case,
  • only to the person who made the payment, and
  • within ten to fifteen (10-15) business days based on direction of the court and underlying circumstances of the case.
