Waukesha County Executive to Plant Arbor Day Tree, Encourages Volunteers for Tree Planting Event

Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow will be planting a tree on Moor Downs Golf Course on Friday, April 26 to celebrate Arbor Day. The planting event also kicks off the park system’s annual large-scale volunteer tree planting event on Saturday, April 27.

“The County’s commitment to planting trees in our parks improves the natural areas in our parks and enhances the beauty of our public spaces,” said County Executive Paul Farrow. “I encourage residents to join in the Arbor Day planting celebration on Saturday – it’s a fun park tradition!”

County Executive Paul Farrow will be available for interviews and photo opportunities on Friday, April 26 from noon to 1 p.m. at Moor Downs Golf Course, 438 Prospect Avenue, Waukesha.

Residents and groups are invited to help enhance the forested areas of Muskego Park by assisting in the planting of 250 native tree seedlings from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Nursery on Saturday, April 27 between 9 a.m. and noon. Muskego Park is located at S83W20370 Janesville Rd. in Muskego.
