For current program rates, see the Waukesha County Environmental Education School Guide

Join us to explore the importance of healthy soil. View a real soil profile, understand how soil is formed, and discover the important role of organic matter. Conduct an erosion experiment and observe compost microorganisms. Learn how to put your food waste to use through the simple act of composting and improve soil health. Students will head outside to look for some of the compost microorganisms we just learned about and see how many they can find.
