Terry is a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp serving on the East Coast, West Coast and Iwakuni, Japan. He received several meritorious promotions being honorably discharged as a Sergeant.

The military peaked Terry’s interest in community service and he became a police officer serving the communities of The Town of Beloit (1 year), City of Jefferson (5 years), and City of Waukesha (19 years).  While at the Waukesha Police Department, he was a field training officer, bicycle officer, school resource officer, and a member of the tactical team. Terry has an Associate Degree in Police Science from Waukesha County Technical College and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Mount Senario College. 

After retiring from the Waukesha Police Department in 2007 Terry served on the Waukesha Common Council, representing Aldermanic District 1, until 2019.

Currently Terry is the Coordinator at Kohl's Inc in Credit Card Operations in Menomonee Falls with retirement in sight and serves on the board of the Kohl's Veterans and Military Business Resource Group.

Terry and his wife, Karen, have 3 children and 4 grandchildren with a fifth on the way.
