Guardianship training and doctor report ARE NOT required for Minor Guardianship of the Estate

SERVICE: The petitioner is responsible for service and/or notice. For additional information please consult Wisconsin Statute 813.122. The Waukesha County Sheriff Dept. will serve the respondent without cost as a courtesy if they reside in Waukesha County. (This policy is subject to change at any time by the Sheriff Department.) If the petitioner chooses to have the documents in the action served by the sheriff, the petitioner should contact the sheriff to verify the proof of service of the petition (Waukesha County Sheriff Department (262)-548-7151). The petitioner may, at their own expense, elect to use a private server to effect service.
GUARDIAN AD LITEM: The child to be protected and/or the respondent child will be appointed a guardian ad litem by the court, unless they wish to retain private counsel. The parent(s) of the child is/are obligated to pay these costs.
