FoodWIse Partner Agencies

The Extension FoodWIse program in Waukesha County works with a variety of partners to provide education to income-eligible individuals and families.


 

FoodWIse partners with a variety of Waukesha County agencies to teach series of lessons for preschoolers, school age children, teens, parents and caregivers with children, adults, and seniors in both English and Spanish. 

Waukesha FoodWIse program partners with agencies/programs including schools, WIC, Head Start, food pantries, resource centers, aging units, health and human services departments, clinics, shelters, housing units, and meal programs to work with income-eligible groups. FoodWIse education includes:

  • Food safety
  • Planning nutritious meals and snacks based on the Dietary Guidelines
  • Stretching food dollars
  • Balancing food and physical activity
  • Addressing local food insecurity and healthy food access

FoodWIse is funded by SNAP-Ed (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education) and EFNEP (Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program).
