New County Program Helps Children and Families Impacted by Drugs or Alcohol
Wednesday September 13, 2023 Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow along with other members of law enforcement, health and human services, prosecutors, the medical community, and community service organizations participated in a signing ceremony to implement the Drug Endangered Children Protocol.
The DEC programs are a county-wide coordinated effort, addressing drug and alcohol issues affecting children and families.
Through the DEC program, organizations within a community work together to enhance their response to the immediate needs of drug-endangered children and to gather adequate evidence to substantiate prosecution of appropriate endangerment and other charges.
