(WAUKESHA, WI) – Get out and embrace winter in Waukesha County Parks during the 34th Annual Waukesha JanBoree Weekend.
“This annual festival encourages residents and visitors to enjoy Waukesha County in all seasons,” said Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow. “The variety of indoor and outdoor activities offers something for everyone.”
The events offer citizens and visitors an opportunity to try unique winter activities through Waukesha County that they normally may not a have a chance to try for free or very low cost.
Waukesha JanBoree is produced by the City of Waukesha Parks, Recreation & Forestry Dept. along with many community partners including the Waukesha County Park System. Frozen Fun at Moor Downs Golf Course (9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.)
Try your leg at winter FootGolf and S’MoorBall for free at Moor Downs Golf. FootGolf is a combination of golf and soccer with the objective of getting the ball into an oversized hole in the fewest amount of kicks. S’MoorBall is a combination of billiards and soccer with the objective of getting your balls all into the pockets before your opponent! Bring your own soccer ball or use one of ours. Held with or without snow. Moor Downs Golf Course is located at 438 Prospect Ave. in Waukesha.
Ice Skating at Eble Park Ice Arena (2 to 4 p.m.)
Strap on your skates and get out on the ice indoors with friends and family at Eble Park Ice Arena and enjoy skating for free. Open to the first 300 people. Skate rental is extra ($2.50/pair) and quantities are limited, so bring your own if you can, we can’t guarantee rental skates availability. Eble Park Ice Arena is located at 9400 W. Bluemound Rd. in Brookfield. Doors open at 1:45 p.m.

Merrymaking in Minooka Park (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.)
Celebrate winter with oodles of activities all day long in Minooka Park, located at 1927 E. Sunset Dr. in Waukesha. The park entrance fee will be waived for visitors throughout the day to experience all the fun in the park!

Nature Escape at Retzer Nature Center (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
Take in the beauty of the outdoors in winter at Retzer Nature Center, located at S14W28167 Madison St. in Waukesha. Something for everyone to enjoy!
