Set out on the Orange Trail to read the book, 'Little Acorn,' while exploring the woods and prairies of Retzer Nature Center. Recommended for all ages. 

This family-friendly event is free and completely self-guided. The hike is on the Orange Trail and is about .75 mile long.

Please note:

  • The trail is not fully paved and is not lit after dark.
  • Retzer Nature Center grounds are open daily, sunrise - 10 pm. 
  • Special event admission fee applies on Sat., September 18 for Apple Harvest Festival
