Adopt-A-Trail

Waukesha County manages and maintains more than 35 miles of paved recreational trails with unique and scenic experiences for all! Adopt-A-Trail volunteers and volunteer groups of all sizes and types can assist with keeping these trails clean and safe. Let's team up to preserve the beauty of Waukesha County recreational trail systems.

How does it work?

• One-year commitment
• Option to renew at the end of year
• Four clean-ups per year: in spring, summer, and fall 

• Free for adopter groups: trash bags, safety vests, trail safety signs, litter grabbers, and other necessary tools 
• Required: Prospective dates of visit coordinated with park staff • Trail report for each visit • Completed waiver for each group member 
• Ages 8 and older only

Recognition: Your group name will be highlighted on two trail signs by your segment to celebrate your contributions to the program.
