Waukesha County Airport/Crites Field hosts many events in the aviation community – fostering friendships between pilots and aviation enthusiasts, and, of course, providing opportunities to enjoy the magic of flight as much as possible.
Food Truck Friday 2019
Each Friday, Memorial Day Weekend thru Labor Day weekend, Waukesha County Airport hosts local food trucks on the east side of the Terminal Building, 2525 Aviation Drive. Food served 11am-1:30pm.

Gathering of Warbirds - May 25
Airplanes dating back to World War II and the Korean War filled the air over Waukesha and on the ground at the Waukesha County Airport.
The Gathering of Warbirds is a family-friendly event featuring historic and modern military aircraft, aircraft tours and rides, and education activities for all ages. It was aimed at anyone who enjoys seeing historic and modern military aircraft and fighter jets fly throughout the day. The event was enjoyed by more than 4,000 attendees and nearly 200 free hats were given to veterans in attendance. Community groups such as Stars and Stripes Honor Flight, the USO, and Dry Hootch, also connected with veterans.
Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation - Runway 5K & 3K Walk
Grab your friends and family for an unforgettable experience on the runway and taxiways of Waukesha County Airport!
This 3K walk and professionally chip-timed, USATF certified 5K course offer a unique experience for families, walkers, first-time runners and seasoned athletes looking for a challenge to achieve a personal best.
The family-friendly event will include planes, live-music, entertainment and access to the airport like never before. Both the 3K walk and 5K run will begin at 7:30 p.m. and conclude with awards and fireworks.
5 p.m. – Gates open for parking
5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. – Registration, music, entertainment
7:30 p.m. – 5K run/ 3K walk
Awards and fireworks to follow
