Insight from the Partner Summit are Helping Shape What Comes Next
Every few years, Waukesha County Public Health invites residents to take part in the Community Health Survey, an important opportunity for people who live in Waukesha County (18+) to share their experiences, concerns, and priorities.
This survey is a key part of the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) process. The feedback we receive helps guide what we focus on as a community over the next several years, from mental health and substance use to housing, access to care, and overall quality of life. Simply put, this is how community voices directly shape community action.
A Collaborative Effort Across the County
This year, the Community Health Survey is a joint effort between Waukesha County Public Health and local hospital systems, bringing together partners across the healthcare system to better understand and respond to community needs.

By working together, we are able to align data, share insights, and create a more coordinated approach to improving health across Waukesha County.

But the survey is not the only way we listen.
Listening Beyond the Survey
To ensure we are hearing from a wide range of perspectives, we also gather feedback through conversations, partnerships, and community events. One recent example is the Waukesha County Community Health Partner Summit, where nearly 250 leaders from across sectors, including healthcare, education, nonprofits, business, and government, came together to share insights, experiences, and ideas.
To capture the collaborative voice of our community partners, we asked participants to provide feedback during the Summit and translated those insights into a visual representation of our community.
