Concealed Carry Weapons Classes

 

The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department Firearms Training Unit regularly offers concealed carry weapon (CCW) classes. Students who successfully complete the course meet the training requirement to apply for a Wisconsin CCW permit.

*You must be 21 years of age or older to participate.

Class Curriculum

In this course, students will learn the basics of firearm safety and Wisconsin requirements and considerations for carrying a concealed weapon.

Class Competencies and Learning Objectives
1. Firearms safety
2. Safe carry considerations
3. Legal implications of carrying a concealed firearm including possession, transportation and use of firearms.
4. Process for obtaining, maintaining, and renewing a concealed carry license.

Please note - this course does not include gun range time. No weapons are allowed in the class.
