Project Updates

August 5, 2026

Stage 2 – Complete
County Highway JJ is open from Pewaukee Road to Busse Road.

Stage 3 – Complete
County Highway JJ is open from Busse Road to Springdale Road.

Stage 4 – Complete
County Highway JJ is open from Springdale Road to Kossow Road.

Stage 5A – Currently Under Construction

• Expected duration: approximately 1.5 weeks (subject to change).
• County Highway JJ Eastbound will be closed to through traffic from Kossow Road to USH-18.
• Access to Plaza Court will be maintained. Local businesses should access Plaza Court from the west at the JJ and Kossow Road intersection.
• Anticipated reopening on Monday, August 10 (subject to change)

Project Completion
Construction is anticipated to be complete during the third week of August.

July 23, 2026

Stage 2 – Complete
County Highway JJ is open from Pewaukee Road to Busse Road.

Stage 3 – Currently Under Construction
County Highway JJ is closed to through traffic from Busse Road to Springdale Road.
Access to local businesses is maintained. Please enter the work zone from Springdale Road.
Construction began Monday, July 20, and is expected to last approximately 1.5 weeks (subject to change).
Once construction is complete, County Highway JJ will reopen from Busse Road to Springdale Road.

Stage 4 – Tentatively Scheduled to Begin July 30
Expected duration: approximately 1.5 weeks (subject to change).
County Highway JJ will be closed to through traffic from Springdale Road to Kossow Road.
Access to local businesses will be maintained.
Once construction is complete, County Highway JJ will reopen from Springdale Road to Kossow Road.

Stage 5 – Tentatively Scheduled to Begin August 6
Expected duration: approximately 2 weeks (subject to change).

Project Completion
Construction is anticipated to be complete during the third week of August.

July 14, 2026

Beginning July 20, Bluemound Rd (CTH JJ) construction will move into Stage 3.

July 1, 2026

Beginning July 15, Bluemound Rd (CTH JJ) construction will move into Stage 3.

During this stage, Bluemound Road (CTH JJ) will be fully closed between Redford Boulevard (CTH F) and Springdale Road (CTH SR). Work will include removing the existing asphalt pavement, repaving the roadway, and installing new pavement markings.

Local and business traffic only will be allowed within the closure. Please enter and exit the closed area at Springdale Road (CTH SR). During active construction, flaggers will assist local traffic enter and exit at Springdale Road (CTH SR).

Residents who live on adjacent side roads should access their neighborhoods via Ruben Drive or Rambling Rose Road from Springdale Road.

Businesses located on Westmound Drive, Eastmound Drive, and Saratoga Drive should use Johnson Drive at Springdale Road (CTH SR) to enter and exit.

Through traffic should follow the posted alternate route.

Stage 3 is anticipated to be completed by July 25.

June 26, 2026

Stage 2 of the CTH JJ rehabilitation project has begun. This stage includes the closure of CTH JJ between CTH J and CTH F for asphalt pavement removal, repaving, and pavement marking installation.

During the closure, the roadway will remain open to local traffic only. Local traffic may enter and exit the closure area via North Busse Road or South Busse Road. Through traffic should use the designated detour route. CTH F and CTH SR may also be used to travel around the closure.

Stage 2 is anticipated to be completed by July 2.

The schedule is subject to change based on weather and field conditions.
