County Executive Issues State of Emergency Declaration
Snow Emergency Shuts Down County Offices
Sunday, March 15, 2026, County Executive Paul Farrow issued a State of Emergency Declaration due to the prediction of significant snowfall and high winds creating blizzard conditions throughout Waukesha County.
As part of the emergency order, the Waukesha County Courthouse, county buildings, and other government operations will be closed on Monday, March 16, 2026.
Residents are encouraged to monitor weather conditions and limit travel as conditions worsen.
The declaration is effective immediately and remains in effect until Monday, March 16, 2026, at 4:30 p.m.
“This decision is focused first and foremost on safety, reducing unnecessary travel and helping protect our employees and the public from hazardous road conditions. We will continue to monitor the storm closely and will provide updates as conditions change,” County Executive Farrow said.
Essential staff, such as Department of Public Works crews, Sheriff’s Deputies and 911 dispatchers will all report for their regularly scheduled shifts.
