FINAL PUSH FOR FEMA AID
Deadlines are Nov 10 and Nov 12
Since a Presidential Disaster Declaration was announced in September 11, 2025, FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) have provided more than $8 million in federal assistance to help nearly 1,200 Waukesha County residents recover from the severe storms and flooding that struck the area in August.
Waukesha County officials are now reminding residents who experienced damage from the August flooding that there is only one month left to apply for federal disaster assistance through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The deadline to apply for individual assistance is November 12. The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) loan application deadline November 10.
“This funding has been vital to helping families and homeowners begin rebuilding their lives,” Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow said. “If your home or property was damaged by the August floods, don’t wait, apply now before the deadline passes,” Farrow added.
FEMA assistance may include aid for temporary housing, home repairs, and other disaster-related expenses. Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible and to keep documentation of all disaster-related damages and repairs.

• Phone: Call FEMA’s Helpline at 1-800-621-3362
• In Person: Visit a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) near you. Locations and hours are available at www.waukeshacounty.gov/disasterinformation.
• Business owners, homeowners, and renters can apply for a U.S. Small Business Administration loan at sba.gov/disaster by November 10.
