Child Support Payment Options

Effective January 1, 2026, payors are no longer able to choose which court case their payment is applied to unless the payment is a purge, lien, cost, or R&D payment. This policy change is directed by the Bureau of Child Support (BCS) to comply with Federal regulations and State law.

  • If you have multiple court cases, payments made online cannot be designated to a specific case.

  • Can be paid Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
    • Exception: cash will be taken until 4:15 pm.
  • Acceptable forms of payment:
    • Cash
    • Cashier's Check
    • Credit or Debit Card
    • Money order
    • Personal check

  • If you have applied for child support services or if the case was referred to us from Economic Support, this is provided free of charge as part of case management.
    •     Will need current employer information for payor.
  • If a case is not receiving child support services, please see our fee structure.

  • MoneyGram receive code is 14692.
  • Need your PIN # for the account number.
  • Credit Card fees vary with payment, minimum $7.99.
  • Cash payment has flat fee of $3.99, regardless of payment amount.
  • Payment posts within 5 days.

  • Waukesha County Child Support Agency accepts checks, cashier's checks, or money orders for out-of-county cases.

  • Debit/credit card or cash payments are not accepted for out-of-county cases.

Purge payments are ordered by the court after the payor has been found to be in contempt of a court order and may include payments that the payor must make to avoid jail time or to be released from jail.
