Walk-ins
Due to the high volume of customers on our walk-in days, we must limit our assistance with parties to 10 minutes. Please come prepared to take a number and wait your turn. If you feel that your question is more extensive or you do not want to wait in line, please book an appointment.
Appointments
Our appointments are limited to no more than 30 minutes and are generally booked at least one week in advance. To make an appointment you may either send an email to selfhelp@waukeshacounty.gov or call 262-548-7524 and leave a message with your name, case number and any court dates you have coming up. Please be patient, a staff person will get back to you as soon as we are able.
Call-ins
The Center's services are available primarily on a walk-in basis. However, we do understand that some questions are of a more limited nature and may only take a few minutes to answer, or that some litigants using the Center are unable to come in person because of distance or other factors. Due to volume, calls are limited to 5 minutes each. If you get a busy signal during our call-in times, please hang up and dial again as we are assisting other customers. We appreciate your patience.
Family Legal Clinic
Affords individuals with family court related legal questions with 20 minutes of free legal advice with a volunteer attorney. These appointments are reserved for indivuals who have accessed the Court Self-Help Center but are in need of assistance beyond what we can provide. Appointments are limited to 20 minutes.
