Radon & Your Health

Radon is estimated to cause about 21,000 deaths each year nationally, including 500 deaths per year in Wisconsin. The Surgeon General has warned that radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States today. If your home has radon levels that exceed the EPA level of 4 picocuries per liter, your risk of getting lung cancer increases. The only way to determine the radon level in your home is to test.
