Why Get Tested?

Diseases such as Hepatitis, AIDS, Tetanus, TB, Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Endocarditis (infection in the heart) are common with IV drug use. Some of these diseases can be spread easily from person-to-person, these are known as Communicable Diseases. Examples of Communicable Diseases include Tuberculosis, Hepatitis A, B, C, STDs and AIDS.

It is important that you get yourself tested and treated if needed.
