Join us for National Trails Day Stewardship & Hike on the Ice Age Trail!
Ice Age Trail Alliance, Waukesha County Parks & REI are teaming up to celebrate trails and make a difference in our community for National Trails Day! Join us to learn about the unique history of the land by spending a few hours caring for nature and enjoying a hike on the Ice Age National Trail - Monches Segment. The event starts at 8:45am (and will include garlic mustard busting (invasive species removal by hand) for one hour. We'll take a break to rehydrate, then enjoy a guided nature hike with Waukesha Co. Conservation Biologist Julia Robson. It will be an out and back hike, so we'll return where we started to enjoy some snacks and refreshments provided by REI.
Please bring sunscreen, gloves, sturdy shoes (close-toed), water, bug spray and dress for the weather. We love dogs, but please leave them at home for this event.
