Commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission with this week of fun programming at the Horwitz-DeRemer Planetarium. Conclude the week with a Friday evening celebration.

Monday, July 15 - First Man the Movie
Time: 7:00 PM
Cost: Free Event
The movie is a look at the life of the astronaut, Neil Armstrong, and the legendary space mission that led him to become the first man to walk on the Moon on July 20, 1969. Shown on the Planetarium Dome. Reserve your seat!

Tuesday, July 16 - Guest Speaker: Chris Henry, EAA
Time: 7:00 PM
Cost: Free Event (Donations Accepted)
Mr. Henry had the unique opportunity to meet 12 of the Apollo Astronauts and tells the story of the Space Program in their words. Learn more

Wednesday, July 17 - Rocket Building Workshop
Time: 6:00 PM
Cost: $5.00
Come build Fizz & Air Compressor Rockets! Reserve your spot & rocket building kit. 

Thursday, July 18 - Solar Observing*
Time: 7:00 PM
Cost: Free Event (Donations Accepted)
Safely observe the sun with local experts and staff. 
*General Astronomy & Astrophotography talks will take place in case of inclement weather.

Friday, July 19 - Apollopalooza Finale!
Time: 4:00 - 9:00 PM
Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11, the first manned mission to land on the moon during this Apollopalooza celebration! Activities include a beer garden, artifacts, silent auction, hikes, sky watch (if weather permits), and indoor exhibits! Featuring 'CapCom Go! The Apollo Story,'a historical documentary film shown on the planetarium dome. Join us for out of this world fun!  Get the details
