
The Engineering of Recycling*
(This program will be held at the Materials Recycling Facility and one other location of your choice. Time varies based on options selected.)
Students will learn what happens to residential waste once it leaves the home, compare and contrast different aspects of waste management, and tour the MRF recycling facility and one other industrial site to compare and contrast waste management techniques. Other site options include: MMSD, the largest wastewater treatment plant in Wisconsin, a local landfill, or a plant nursery and yard waste processing site.
