Healthy Soils through Composting

Join us to explore the importance of healthy soil.  View a real soil profile, understand how soil is formed, and discover the important role of organic matter.  Conduct an erosion experiment and observe live compost microorganisms.  Learn how to put your food waste to use through the simple act of composting and improve soil health.  When held at Retzer Environmental Learning Center, students will learn what it means to close the composting loop during our interactive exhibit tour (add 15 minutes to program duration)!

Minimum of 15 participants required, maximum of 30 participants.
