Coming in 2018, the Waukesha County Executive, the Waukesha County Business Alliance, and the Waukesha County Center for Growth are partnering to honor the businesses that make Waukesha County a great place to live, work and play.
Large Non-Profit of the Year - This award recognizes an established Waukesha County non-profit organization that improves individual lives and the community at large through a range of social and civic endeavors. This organization must have an annual operation budget above $500,000.
Small Non-Profit of the Year - This award recognizes Waukesha County non-profit organizations that serve their communities and achieve their missions through innovative work that improves individual lives and the community at large through a range of social and civic endeavors. This organization must have an annual operation budget below $500,000.
2017 Champion of the County - Sandi Lybert
Sandi Lybert is one of the founders of Your Choice to Live, Inc., a
non-profit organization that provides alcohol and drug prevention,
education, intervention and support. Since its inception in 2009, Your
Choice to Live, Inc. has provided services to over 700 families and
spoken to over 85,000 youth in 100 middle and high schools across SE Wisconsin.
2017 Business of the Year - R & R Insurance Inc.
Serving the Midwest since 1975, R&R Insurance Services is
one of the largest independently owned insurance agencies
in the region.
2017 Large Non-Profit of the Year - Hebron House of Hospitality
For over 30 years, Hebron House of Hospitality has been the largest non-profit provider of services to the homeless men, women and children in Waukesha County to help them overcome
2017 Small Non-Profit of the Year - Oconomowoc Silver Streak
Oconomowoc Silver Streak, Inc. has provided transportation
service for seniors and disabled adults in the Oconomowoc,
Wisconsin area since 1991.
The awards will be presented at a luncheon at the Milwaukee Marriott West in Waukesha on November 8, 2017.
Each winner will be featured in their own video highlighting their ingenuity, drive and dedication to the County; on the County website; and on Waukesha County’s social media pages. In addition, winners in the non-profit categories will receive monetary grants to aid them in their individual missions.
The Waukesha County Executive Awards program recognizes businesses, non-profits, and individuals that contribute to the continued success of Waukesha County and its citizens.
Each year, a panel of judges assesses how each nominee meets the needs of four stakeholder groups: customers, investors, employees and the community at large.
