Kathleen grew up in Tiffin, Ohio and moved to Waukesha County in 1978. She was first appointed to the Waukesha County Board in 1998 and first elected in 2000. She initiated and worked to get Minooka Park's dog park and family bathroom. Kathleen also serves on the City of Waukesha’s Common Council, first elected in 2001, and represents District 9- Wards 20 & 21. She serves on the Building and Grounds Committee, Human Resources Committee, and the Sign Appeals Board. She served as past president of the Common Council, was Chairman of Information Technology and Landmarks Committees, and served on License and Ordinance Committee, Deferred Compensation, and Waukesha City Housing Authority.
Kathleen is very involved in the community. She is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waukesha. She was a member of the School District of Waukesha Superintendent’s Advisory Committee and the Curriculum and Instruction Committee. She is a PTA and PTO member.
For eight years Kathleen was a board member of the Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin and was chairman of the Networking Box Lunch for the National Autism Convention in Milwaukee. She is also involved in the City of Waukesha’s Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department through several organizations. For Circle of Friends Kathleen led field trips for special needs youth. Through Boy Scouts, she serves on the Potawatomi Area Council and Special Needs Committee. She is a Merit Badge Counselor and a troop committee member. She will be attending the Boy Scout National Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in 2017.
Kathleen is a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts and has been a former leader of seven troops. She is married and has three grown children and is expecting her first grandchild.

The 2018 Beer Garden season will triple the number of locations, and add new dates, custom beer steins, and new food and entertainment options for patrons. The series kicks off on May 24 at Eble Park.
