Help keep your community beautiful
What is Adopt-A-Highway? This program welcomes your school, scout troops, business, civic organizations, churches, families, and more to "adopt" a two-mile section of County Highway.
What does an adopting group do? Three times a year from April 1 to November 1, your group clears litter from your section of County Highway "right-of-way". Full bags of refuse are left along the highway for prompt pick-up by our crews. Recyclable items are yours to keep, if desired. Note: All participants must be 11 years old or in sixth grade.
Free of fees There is no charge to adopters. Your group's name appears on a roadside sign at your section; garbage bags and safety vests are provided at no charge.
