Health and Human Services Volunteers

Health and Human Services volunteers promote health, self-sufficiency, and an improved quality of life for HHS clients and other county citizens. In partnership and coordination with other community resources and organizations, trained HHS volunteers, provide for some basic human needs such as clothing, emergency funds, education, and transportation.

Aging and Disability Resource Center Volunteers

The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Waukesha County (ADRC) is a single access point for publicly funded long term care in Waukesha County. The ADRC provides information, assistance, counseling and supportive services for older adults age 60 and above; caregivers; adults with physical or developmental disabilities; and adults with mental health or substance abuse concerns.

Parks and Land Use Volunteers

Volunteering with the Waukesha County Department of Parks & Land Use is a great opportunity for you to enjoy the outdoors while giving back to the community. The mission of the Department of Parks & Land Use states: “Working through a combination of recreation, education, public cooperation, and regulation, we are dedicated to fostering the protection, wise use, enhancement and enjoyment of the County’s cultural and natural resources, and the health of its citizens.” Please consider joining us in accomplishing our mission!

Waukesha County UW-Extension is a major outreach effort of the University of Wisconsin, putting university knowledge and research to work in the county.

In partnerships with local residents and organizations, as well as the University of Wisconsin, Waukesha County develops innovative educational programs through a cohesive community effort.
