Waukesha County Parks and Land Use Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering with Parks and Land Use is a great opportunity for individuals and groups to enjoy the outdoors while giving back to the community in various ways. Project needs vary depending on the time of year and the current projects going on within the Park System. In general, the need is for natural land management work involving basic hand tools (shovels, wheelbarrows, rakes, etc).
Volunteers are also needed throughout the year for various special events held at Retzer Nature Center.

The safety of our volunteers, park users and staff remains our top priority. We are currently allowing volunteering, but are making decisions on a case-by-case basis. Groups and individual volunteers will be considered if social distancing of 6 feet can be maintained. Group sizes are based on current large gathering recommendations. We are taking extra precautions to clean and disinfect our tools and supplies. Volunteers should bring their own work gloves and hand sanitizer - these will not be provided. Please complete an Interest Form below if you would like to be considered.
