Blessing in a Backpack is a nationwide organization that is committed to getting children food that would otherwise not have any. They were chosen as People Magazine’s 2012 charity of the year. The Hatfield branch started with 1 school and 25 students, and has now grown to 3 schools and is feeding about 590 students.
