    Mission Statement: “Waukesha County is committed to serving adults and their families with issues of aging and/or disability. We will provide information, assistance, and education to promote independence and improve quality of life, while offering choices to the consumer. Our goal is to advocate for and affirm the rights, dignity, and value of individuals served while limiting risk to those most vulnerable.”
     
    The ADRC is a community resource center that focuses on the aging and the disabled. They assess and address clients and their families and offer help and resources to get people to where they want to be. They are currently participating in a five year “Active Aging Research Center” grant which looks at how technology can be used to help older adults stay active and keep their independence.

     ◦We refer clients to proper resources, educate clients on healthy choices, offer a home delivery meal program and senior dining sites which ties in to the coalition’s mission of increasing access to healthy, nutritious foods.

     ◦The presentation information, networking opportunities, community updates, and knowledge of available resources available at the meetings.
