  • It’s Time to Plant Seeds Indoors

    Posted on March 31, 2015

Are you planning to start some of your vegetable and flower plants inside this spring? If you haven’t already done so, now is a great time to plant seeds indoors of broccoli, early cabbage, cauliflower, celery, eggplant, and head lettuce. Peppers may be sown from seed indoors now too, but wait until mid-April to plant your tomato seeds! Flowers including alyssum, verbena, calendula, celosia, coleus, dahlia, phlox, and salvia can also be started from seeds now.

Remember … the recommended outside planting date for the plant you are growing and average last spring frost date are two factors that will affect the inside seed planting date. To have success, you will also want to be sure to have the “right” planting environment for your seeds. For tips on seed starting, see http://bit.ly/1Ct0ula
