Waukesha County Family Development offers programs that can be tailored to your needs. Check out our available Waukesha Family Living Programs below.
Lessons are offered to youth and /or families and can include preparing a healthy garden snack, nutrition and horticulture activities, creating a small container garden and reading garden and nutrition themed stories. These options can be selected a la carte for a tailored program that meets your needs.
PACE is based on three premises: Poverty is Complex, Poverty connects and intersects with other issues, and Poverty is a call to action. An interactive PACE in-service can be designed for your audience. Optional activities include personal surveys, videos, hands-on activities, and poverty simulation experience and more.
The Poverty Experience is a simulation. The goal of the program is to provide an experience that sensitizes participants to barriers faced by low-income people including institutional power structures, public policy, time constraints, lack of transportation, and facing multiple challenges at one time.
