A major goal for both Extension and the City of Waukesha is to increase civic engagement and opportunities for residents to learn about community services and ways to participate and engage in the decision-making processes. In cooperation, we designed the Waukesha Local Government Academy to provide a hands-on opportunity to strengthen community relationships, learn more about community challenges and opportunities, help advocate for important topics and enhance the City’s communication efforts.
