Travel Clinic

All Public Health Walk-In Services, International Travel Clinics and STD Clinic Services are closed until further notice.

Getting vaccinated will help keep you safe and healthy while you're traveling. It will also help to ensure you don't bring home any serious diseases to your family, friends & community.  

NEW: We are excited to now offer additional travel vaccines in our International Travel Clinic! Now offering by appointment: Cholera, Japanese Encephalitis, Pre-Exposure Rabies & Oral Typhoid!

Immunizations Provided & Fees
  • $60 clinic fee per client
  • Fees & immunizations may not be waived
  • Cash, charge, or check accepted
  • You do NOT have to be a Waukesha County resident to receive travel clinic services. 
  • Insurance not accepted
  • Routinely recommended vaccines also available for children & adults 
  • Anti-malarial prescriptions provided based on nurse assessment 
  • Announcement: Licensed US Yellow Fever vaccine temporarily unavailable.  Please follow link for sites offering Stamaril (alternative yellow fever vaccine).

  • It is best for travelers to schedule an appointment 6-8 weeks in advance to allow for scheduling & adequate immunization protection
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time for check-in and registration

  • As of September 1, 2020 Waukesha County Public Health is providing immunizations by appointment only, Tuesdays through Thursdays. No walk-ins will be taken. To schedule an appointment, call (262) 896-8430 & press "option 5".
  • Walk-in Clinic Nurse Services, the International Travel Clinic, and STD Clinic Services continue to be closed until further notice.

The Nurse Call Center is available by phone:
Mon., Wed., Thurs., & Fri. (8 AM – 4:30 PM)
Tuesdays (10:30 AM – 6:30 PM)
WIC Benefit Issuance is available:
Mondays (8:15 AM – 4 PM)
Tuesdays (3 – 5:30 PM)
Fridays (8:30 – 11:30 AM)

The Public Health Division will be closed to the public for the following observed holidays in 2020:

  • Thanksgiving Day and the day after Thanksgiving - Thursday, November 26, 2020, and Friday, November 27, 2020
  • Christmas Eve and Christmas Day - Thursday, December 24, 2020, and Friday, December 25, 2020
  • New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day (2020 – 2021) - Thursday, December 31, 2020, and Friday, January 1, 2021
