Disease Specific Information

The Waukesha County Public Health Division works in cooperation with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Wisconsin Department of Public Health (WDPH) to provide guidance and resources for school personnel regarding the management of communicable disease in the school setting. The control of communicable disease requires the combined efforts of school personnel, parents, health care providers and the local public health agency. Good public health practices consist of promoting vaccination, hand hygiene, parent notification and assuring case isolation.
