• Feed the Dream

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. lived a life dedicated to the service of others; to community, to country. On the day we celebrate his contributions to our society, the entire community must join together and serve those in need.

Feed the Dream 2015 is a county-wide food drive and service project around Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day that will inspire youth to serve their communities and raise awareness about hunger in Waukesha County. School districts select the dates that best fits with their schedules between December 2014 and January 2015. Students will collect food and then count, sort, pack, and label boxes for delivery to their hometown food pantries. Through this service, youth will be empowered to solve community problems and create lasting change.

Marketing materials, logistics and planning, and volunteer support will be available for each project site. More information about resources is available through the United Way Volunteer Center, Jenn Wigh at (262) 547-8459.

Join us between December 2014 – January 31, 2015 as we Feed the Dream of hope, equality, and a better life for all.
