Personal Care/Bath in Home

Personal Care includes the provision of bathing and personal hygiene care for older adults in their home. This assistance is available to older persons who are essentially medically stable and ambulatory but unable to self-administer safe and adequate personal hygiene and bath care. The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Waukesha County (ADRC) contracts with several community agencies for provision of Personal Care services. Services include assistance with:

• Bathing - assist into and out of the shower/tub
• Washing of back
• Hair care
• Oral hygiene
• Applying lotion (excluding wound care)
• Nail care (if not diabetic)
• Clean-up of bathroom
• Changing of bed linens
